Chemicals damage male babies??

Usually people intend to say use this and that to make it better sex life...After sperms inter into woman's body it usually takes 24-48hrs to start divisions and multiplications..Little maths I guess...New studies been found recently which is posted on BBC evolves around saying that precautionary steps on giving birth doesn't only but taking good care of your self its actually things that we use impact on babies too..

Phthalates are used in the manufacture of plastics, lubricants and solvents, and are found in cosmetics, medical equipment, toys, paints and packaging.
The University of Rochester team, New York, found exposure to the chemicals was linked to a higher risk of genital abnormalities in baby boys.

The Rochester team, who examined 134 boys, found women with higher levels of phthalate-related chemicals in their blood were more likely to give birth to boys with undescended, or small testicles, small penises, or a shorter distance than usual between the genitals and anus.

Lead researcher Professor Shanna Swan said: "We were able to show, even with our relatively small sample, that exposed boys were likely to display a cluster of genital changes."

Professor Sharpe said the chemicals appeared to suppress production of the male sex hormone testosterone.

"Testosterone is absolutely critical to development - most of the things that make males different to females are down to pre-natal exposure to the hormone.

"It is not just the effect on genital development, but also on tissues throughout the body, including the brain."

The conservation group WWF, which campaigns against harmful environmental chemicals, described the findings as "startling".
Professor Sharpe said the chemicals appeared to suppress production of the male sex hormone testosterone.

Gwynne Lyons, toxic advisor to WWF UK, said: "This research highlights the need for tougher controls of gender bending chemicals.

"At the moment regulation of the chemicals industry is woefully inadequate, and something needs to be done about this immediately."

The UK government is looking at how the regulation of hormone-disrupting chemicals could be made more effective under a new EU chemicals law.

Several types of phthalates have already been banned.

UK is already on the line..What about rest of us in the world? I guess we should rise voice over this too..If not atleast think for ourselves when we use perfumes, deodorants, shampoos, nail polish, hair sprays, toys these are we gona spoil our future generations or wot? ? ?

Issues that we should keep in mind

IF we reduce the population of Earth to small town with 100 people and keep the propotions then it will look like

IN CONTINENT

1. 57 ASIANS

2. 21 EUROPEANS

3. 14 AMERICAN (NORTH AND SOUTH)

4. 8 AFRICANS

IN GENDER

52 WOMEN AND 48 MEN

IN COLOUR

70 COLOURED SKIN AND 30 CAUCASIANS

IN SEXUALITY

89 HETEROSEXUAL AND 11 HOMOSEXUAL

*6 people would own 59% of the whole world wealth and all of them will be from the United States of America

*80 Would have bad living condition

*70 Would be uneducated

*50 Would be underfed

*1 Would die

*2 Would be born

*1 Will have computer

*1 will only have higher education

If you look at the world from this pespective, you will see how there is a big need of solidarity, understanding, patience and education.

Also think about the following,

  1. If this morning you've woke up healthy, you are happier than 1 million people that will not survivie next week
  2. If you never suffered a war, loneliness in jail, agony torture or hunger, you are happier than 500 million people in the world.
  3. If you can enter into church (mosque, temple) without fear of jail ordeath, you are happier than 3 million people in the world.
  4. If there is food in your fridge, you have shoes and clothes, you havebed and a roof, you are richer than 75% of the people in the world.
  5. If you have a bank account, money in your wallet and some coins in money box, you belong to 8% of people on the world which are welldoing.
  6. If you read this then, you dont belong to 200 million people thatcannt read and you have a computer

Right wing spam invades email users

International email spam has inundated Australian computer users with right-wing German propaganda.

The spam has been infiltrating inboxes around the world since Thursday, sending users to
German political sites including that of the extremist National Democratic Party.
Computer security firm Symantec said it had been receiving calls all day from users complaining about the spam.

Symantec managing director John Donovan said the emails were directed mainly at private users but some companies that had not updated their anti-spam software also were affected.

But the spam, a variation of the Sober worm which first appeared in 2003, was not expected to cause any major problems to computer systems.
"It (the worm) doesn't cause any malicious damage but will replicate in computer systems," he said.

Mr Donovan said the worm could be controlled easily.
"If you see it, delete it," he said.
A Telstra spokesman said the company had been filtering the spam since about 11.45am (AEST)on Monday.
A similar worm created havoc last year during the German elections.
